Today is the day that I am going to ask you to write a bio. In short, we want to know who you are. You are going to spend the bulk of the summer together with all these people, why not try to get to know one another now? This is the time to explain the details of your life that few people might now; to brag about yourself. Make sense? It's pretty simple.

So what would we be looking for when you talk about you?

*These are a catagory of choices. If you are stuck, use this as a rubric. If you have written your own bio already, you can disregard this post.

*First thing to do is login with your username and password. After which, go to the top of the screen and the second from the left should read, "New Post." Click it and then you will be taken to a page where you can write a blog post. You can entitle it whatever you want. (Any questions or issues, just let me know. My email will be at the bottom of this post.)

1) It begins with a name. Simple. Also nicknames if you prefer.

2) The Where. What state, city, county, township, etc. do you currently reside? You might find that some of you live relatively close to one another.

3) Academia. Short version, are you currently in high school, in college, in limbo. If you are going to head to college or in college, what are you studying?

4) Nine to Five. Do you work at a job? Do you mouch money offer your folks? Inquiring minds would like to know.

5) Killing Time. What do you enjoy doing? Do you have hobbies, play sports, involved in a community? When you have free time or hanging out with friends, what do you do?

6) The Important Stuff. Likes, dislikes, talents, things that make you unique. Example, I hate broccoli with a passion. I got both of my tattoos done outside the U.S.; in Spain and Kenya.

7) Previous Experience. Have you been on mission trips before? If so, where and with what organization? If you have done trips in the States or Canada, put those on here as well, they count as experience.

8) The Nit N' Gritty. What are you excited about for this trip? What makes you a little nervous about this trip? What has God been telling you about going on this trip?

* If you can, post a photo so we can put a face with a name. If you need help in this area, I am more than willing to help.

Folks, I am excited for you all to continue building community together and I think that this blog will help further that process. Remember, if you have questions about this blog, shoot me an email ([email protected]) or comment here, and I will get back to you.
