Katie:
I hail from the freezing state of Minnesota and therefore played on a high school girl's hockey team. Yup, it's cold up there. I have my Bible and Nursing degree, but instead find myself working in the AIM office because I absolutely love this place and these people. My husband and I went on the World Race in January 2010 and I hope that every believer gets to experience the kinds of things that I did. I’m from the great state of Michigan, that’s right, the one that looks like a hand! I grew up in Port Huron, which is right on the Canadian border. I used to be a middle school teacher and now, I am at the AIM offices working on blogs and field support. In 2010, I led three Real Life trips, to India, Israel, and Kenya. I was raised in the wild west of Wyoming, went to college in the beautiful tropics of Hawaii and worked in the corporate world in sunny California before going on the World Race in August of 2009. It was the best year of my life and I know that there's no place I'd rather be than with an organization that truly lives Kingdom the way AIM does.
I will be the one checking in on you on the field and Skyping with you once a week if possible. Really my role is to simply encourage you, love you where you're at, challenge you and be a prayer warrior for you. I can't wait to get to know you all!
